This Q&A session is part of The Next Big Thing book blog hop. What is your working title of your book? Festival Frolicks - but that will probably change. Where did the idea come from for the book? I used to participate in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - acting, putting on plays, giving readings etc and I thought that would be a great setting for a story. The book changed as I was writing it though and (so far) it's not specifically about the Edinburgh Fringe. What genre does your book fall under? Erotica - Women's Erotica, specifically. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie? I don't have anyone particular in mind - I prefer to let readers build their own fantasies.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Tonks Lee is a single up-and-coming actress looking for The One and exploring as many options as possible to find him (or her!).
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? I expect to publish this one through Pentalpha Publishing Edinburgh.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? I started writing it a while ago intending to submit to Black Lace Books because they published several of my short stories. Unfortunately they stopped trading so I abandoned the book and wrote other things. I recently took it up again and it seems to have got its second wind. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Any of the Black Lace titles featuring feisty heroines.
Who or what inspired you to write this book? This seems to be the same quesion as Where did the idea come from? above and my answer is the same. Acting, performing, playwriting, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival all played their parts. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? It's going to be a fun romp through a variety of sexual encounters with a variety of partners, male and female, so there'll be something for everyone.
This version has three other stories as well as Dinner with Daniela - Corporate Punishment (also available as a single story), All Over Now, and Summer of Love. From all Amazon outlets worldwide.
